Literally tens of thousands of people teach English overseas - Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).

It is a huge job market in desperate need of native speakers (yes, they WANT and NEED you!).  Teaching English overseas is SO DIFFERENT from anything you have experienced so far.  You will find employers eager to employ you, coaxing you to come to work for them - very different from the job market at home where humiliation seems to be part of the plan when you apply for a job.

Is it all roses and jam and peanut butter?  No, but it is and can be much better than you would ever have thought.

How does the author know?  He left the United States in 1989 as a Peace Corps Volunteer to Botswana and has worked overseas ever since and now lives, semi-retired, on a beautiful tropical island.

Did I ever dream that such as life would be possible?  Never!  I fell into it by accident.  As a Peace Corps Volunteer I managed a textile manufacturing business and I only discovered TEFL when I started seeing advertisements for English teachers.  Lots of advertisements!  Some even promising savings of US$1000++ per month! 

What?!

I had two MASTERS degrees and I thought I was cleaning up saving $500 a month before I left the States.

Yeah, you can do better than I was doing with two masters degrees . . .
